Congratulations, and thank you for considering Enticing Cakes to design your wedding cake. We open our books mid January of each year and are now scheduling 2024 weddings. 2025 weddings are still welcome to reach out to have their date marked as pending, and will be added to a contact list to follow-up with when the books open next year.

CONSULT

After we've confirmed availability, we'll schedule a consultation + tasting. Here we discuss every detail including design, pricing, FAQ's etc. and you can taste some cake! If you prefer to skip the tasting, consultations can be over the phone.

 

Tastings are complimentary and include 3 free cake flavor + filling choices to enjoy, and serve up to 4 guests. If you wish to try more flavors or add more guests, you may do so for an additional $6 per flavor/guest.

We recommend coming prepared with inspiration photos or color samples to help convey the style you have in mind. 

​

Our busy season begins in April and recommend getting on the schedule for a consultation January-March when we host open availability appointments every weekend.

CONFIRM

Everything we discuss at your consultation will be drafted into a cake contract. There is no pressure to book and your wedding date is reserved for 2 weeks after your consultation.

​

Once you confirm, a $50 deposit will be invoiced that locks in your reserved date. This deposit is non-refundable, but is applied towards the total cost of your order. 

​

The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the date of your wedding and payment plans are available. Changes may also be made up until this two week lead date. 

​

Canceled events will be fully refunded with the exception of the security deposit. Unfortunately, if your order has already been made or started we cannot offer a refund.

HELPFUL TIPS

A good formula to calculate how many cake servings you need is (invite list -20%) = total guest count. (total guest count - 15%) = total cake servings needed: not everyone will eat cake. We have vegan & gluten-free options available and recommend adding a half dozen - one dozen cupcakes as an option if you think that's something you need.

Let us know if you plan to save the top tier of your cake for an anniversary tradition. You want to subtract this from the total number of servings your cake will provide. It does actually freeze well for a year if you save it properly and we can provide you with some instructions. We also leave a cake box in the back after delivering your cake. 

​

We like transparent pricing. All of our base pricing can be found under the wedding tab to give you an idea, and we will go over pricing options in detail at your consultation. Here are some helpful considerations to ensure you are covered all inclusive for the budget you have in mind: Base pricing includes basic design such as white icing, textured icing design, borders, etc. but additional design features incur a design fee based on complexity (you'll get an up-front quote). Be sure to consider extras such as delivery, cake stand rental needs, toppers, and flowers (You can usually ask your florist for extra flowers for your cake).There are no additional taxes, but a 3% credit card processing fee is not absorbed into the prices listed. This extra cost can be avoided by paying through other online platforms linked to the invoice, cash, check etc.

Weddings add up, and while we are biased about cake we don't think they need to be the main event of your wedding if you're on a budget. Helpful ways to lower the cost are having a small cutting cake for pictures, then feed the masses with sheet cakes in the back or cupcakes. This serving style is also low stress to transport and you could save on delivery by assigning an important someone to the task. 

​

Common factors forgotten in cake planning include: Cake stands, a cake cutter and server, custom ordering a cake topper, designating someone to leave said items on the cake table the day of, to-go containers for guests, and considering the heat of your venue/fridge space when coordinating delivery. All of the above + more are discussed with you at your consultation and we have cake equipment available to rent if needed to ensure you're all set.
